I started my journey in the nail industry with a simple goal... to create beautiful, high quality nails while building a career that gave me freedom and creativity. What began as a small business quickly grew into 2 thriving salons and a passion for helping others enter the industry too.
Today, The Lacquer Lounge Salon & Academy is a modern, luxury salon where we focus on clean, detailed nail work using professional gel systems and builder gel. Our technicians also offer a wide range of beauty treatments from lash extensions to facials. Alongside running the salon, I created the academy to support beginners and aspiring nail technicians who want to start their own journey in the beauty industry. I want to show you it IS possible to pursue your dreams, you just need to right mindset.
My courses are designed to be supportive, practical, and realistic, teaching not only the technical side of nails but also the business foundations needed to grow a successful career.

my story...
Like many people, my journey into the beauty industry didn’t begin with a grand plan, it started while I was working a 9–5 job that I knew deep down wasn’t for me.
I remember feeling stuck, counting down the days to the weekend and knowing I wanted something more. I’d always been creative, and nails quickly became an outlet for that. What began as doing a few sets for friends and family in my spare time slowly turned into something much bigger. I found myself spending my evenings and weekends practising, learning, and building a small client base on the side of my full-time job.
Eventually, the passion grew stronger than the comfort of the 9–5. Taking the leap into self-employment was one of the scariest decisions I’ve ever made, but also the most rewarding. What started as a side hustle quickly grew into a full-time business built on hard work, dedication, and a genuine love for the industry.
As my business grew, I began to realise something important... there were so many talented beauty professionals who just needed the right environment and opportunity to build their own careers. I knew first hand how difficult it can be to start out on your own, and I wanted to create a space that supported independence, creativity, and growth.
That vision led to the creation of The Lacquer Lounge, a modern salon designed not only for clients to enjoy high-quality treatments, but also as a professional space where self-employed beauty professionals can grow their own businesses and careers.
Today, the salon and academy are built around that same belief: that with the right skills, support, and environment, beauty professionals can create successful, fulfilling careers on their own terms.
