by booking an appointment or visiting our salons, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read these carefully before making a booking.

about our technicians
All technicians operating within the salon are self employed professionals who run their own independent businesses. Each technician is responsible for:

their own appointment diary and bookings

their own treatment pricing
-
their own products and services
-
their own payments and refunds
When booking an appointment, you are entering into an agreement directly with the individual technician, not the salon as a whole. Any enquiries regarding treatments, pricing or services should be directed to the technician providing the service.
salon etiquette
To ensure appointments run smoothly and on time for all clients, we kindly ask that the following guidelines are respected:

Please arrive no more than 5 minutes before your appointment time

Arriving significantly earlier may mean we are unable to accommodate you until your scheduled time

If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, your appointment will be cancelled and will be charged in full
Late arrivals affect the schedules for all clients and technicians, so we appreciate your understating.

age restriction
For health, safety and insurance reasons, we ask that clients do not bring any under 16s to their appointments. Our salon environment contains professional equipment, chemicals and sharp tools, which may not be safe for unsupervised children. If upon your appointment you bring any under 16s with you, your treatment will be cancelled and charged in full.

cancellations
We kindly ask that clients provide adequate notice if they need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

Cancellations within 48hours of the appointment will incur a 50% cancellation fee of the treatment price.

Cancellations within 24hours of the appointment will incur a 100% cancellation fee of the treatment price.

Failure to attend (no shows) will also be charged 100% of the treatment price
These fees apply because appointment times are reserved exclusively for you and late cancellations prevent technicians from filling the space. No further treatments can be booked unless any cancellation fees are settled.​

booking
You will find the links via our book now page to our technicians individual booking systems. A 50% non refundable booking fee may be required from your technician.
​
pets
Clients are permitted to bring one small pet (under 5kg) into the salon under the following conditions:

The pet must be clean

The pet must be well behaved and under control at all times

The pet must remain with the client during the appointment
The salon reserves the right to refuse entry to pets if they post a disruption, risk or hygiene concern.​

right to refuse service
We reserve the right to refuse service to any client who:

Arrives over 10 minutes late

Displays abusive or inappropriate behaviour

Fails to comply with salon policies

Arrives intoxicated, or brings alcohol into the premises

These terms and conditions may be updated at any time. The most recent version will always be available here on our website.

patch test & allergy responsibility​
Some treatments and products may cause allergic reactions or sensitivities. It is the client's responsibility to inform their technician of any known allergies, sensitivities, medical conditions or previous reactions prior to their appointment. Where applicable, technicians may recommend or require a patch test at least 24-48 hours before treatment.

As all technicians within the salons are self employed and operate independently, any concerns, reactions or issues relating to a treatment must be raised directly with the technician who carried out the service. Clients should contact the technician as soon as possible if they experience:

An allergic reaction

Irritation or sensitivity

Any unexpected results following a treatment​
The Lacquer Lounge is not responsible for the services carried out by individual technicians and any concerns must be resolved directly with the technicians involved. ​
​
aftercare responsibility
Clients are responsible for following all aftercare advice by their technician. The salon and individual technicians cannot guarantee the longevity of treatments if:

Aftercare is not followed

Nails are subjected to excessive force, picking or misuse
-
Products are removed or altered by another salon or technician
Any issues with a service must be reported directly to the technician who performed the treatment within 48 hours of the appointment​.

personal belongings
Clients are responsible for their personal belongings while visiting our salons. The Lacquer Lounge and individual technicians cannot accept responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged items, including but not limited to:

Coats
-
Jewellery
-
Phones
-
Cash or valuables
We recommend keeping all valuables with you during your appointment, and away from any harm such as chemicals or sharp objects.​
